meet the owner & lead designer

Hi, I'm Megan

My background is rooted in hands-on design and real-life renovation experience. From growing up in a 100-year-old Victorian home and helping with renovations as a kid, to DIY renovating my own homes with my husband for the last seven years. Through HillHomeLove, I’ve helped clients all over the United States transform outdated, awkward, and unfinished spaces.

I believe your home should reflect your personality, tell your story, and elevate your everyday life.

With a collaborative approach, I am here to help you make confident design decisions, avoid decision paralysis, make your budget work for you, and pull all the details together into a finished design you’ll love for years to come.

My goal is to make the design process clear, supportive, and genuinely enjoyable. With years of experience guiding homeowners through remodels and design decisions, I bring not just design expertise, but also an education mindset to help you understand the “why” behind every choice so you can carry that confidence into future projects, too.

about hillhomelove

I come from a long line of home project doers. I grew up watching my parents and grandparents renovate, build, and improve their homes themselves. Most of the time, I was right there learning alongside them. (See embarrassing pics above).

That foundation shaped how I approach design today. When my husband and I bought our first home in 2020, we jumped into a full DIY bathroom renovation. It was the first project that was fully mine from the initial vision to the final details, and it solidified what I love most: guiding a space from idea to reality in a way that’s thoughtful, functional, and personal.

As we renovated, friends and family began asking for help with their own homes. So I started HillHomeLove, a small blog to share what we were doing and how we were doing it, with design tips along the way. Soon I found a whole community of DIY’ers and design lovers and it’s grown into an amazing space and job.

What started as casual advice quickly turned into full e-design support for real projects with real budgets.  For the last three years, I’ve helped homeowners all over the U.S. make confident design decisions for renovations, refreshes, and full-room transformations.

Today, HillHomeLove exists as a deep DIY community, a blog, and full design studio.

Rooted in my vision to help homeowners design their spaces for connection, rest, and deep roots, I now offer interior design services in Fort Collins, Colorado and beyond, bringing a collaborative, education-focused approach to every project.
