When I’m creating custom mood boards or looking for design solutions for a home coaching session, I encounter furniture and decor pieces along the way that might not be a perfect fit for my client’s home, but might just be a perfect fit for yours.
These design finds were starting to pile up, and I wanted to find a better way to share them with you here! I hope to be a resource as you shop for your home and create a home that feels like you.
Here are this week’s design finds in the wild!
This week I’m sharing some items I encountered in the wild while putting together a design to furnish a living room and a kitchen eating area!
Lighting Finds
This honeycomb capiz globe chandelier caught my eye while searching for a big pendant light to go over a round breakfast table. The ceiling was a little too low for this option, and then I came across this popular marble, fluted flush mount light I will never get over! This beautiful table brass lamp I picked out to go on top of a piano for a future music room.
Furniture – Design Finds
Ever since seeing this pink couch in kyrosedesigns’s home office, I have been on the lookout for it and trying to figure how to incorporate these colors into my home. I couldn’t believe when I came across a pink chair that looks so similar! I was on the hunt for a mid-century modern style bench seat, this velvet green armless loveseat was a strong contender. Wishbone chairs are still one of my favorite options for a kitchen breakfast table, especially with mid-century modern flare.
I wanted to find a really slim wooden table, and though I couldn’t quite find one skinny enough, I’m keeping tabs on this flared wooden table for a future design!
A cane and wood dresser is a classic combo that provides a pretty, textured detail in a room. I loved the legs of this dresser with it too!
Accents & Textiles – Design Finds
Ottomans are the perfect accent piece to go under a console table, entry table, or coffee table. These can act as extra seating but are perfect for filling in blank spaces in a room. There are so many cute options and shapes, but these square window pane print ottomans are a classic look.
I’m so picky about rugs but this blue floral one made me gasp out loud when I found it. It’s out of stock but I’m still linking it here because it inspired me and I’m hopeful Target will bring it back (fingers crossed!).
A classic look for any bedroom is a subtle striped duvet cover. I recommend this one often!
Art Finds
Watercolor landscape art is always a yes for me. I love the colors in this one here. Bonus, it’s from one of my favorite print shops. Just select the size you need and they’ll ship it to you! They also offer frame options, although I try to find my own (cheaper) frames.
Vintage art fits into lots of different styles. The best part is that you can often find it for cheap! This print shop on Etsy has lots of options (like this horse print), but you can usually find the art source for free too!
I always say when I share links, I don’t share products with you because I think you need them or because you’re missing out.
But because it might just be the perfect piece to go on your empty wall or in the corner of your room that you haven’t been able to figure out.
I hope these items inspire you in your own home! I’m really excited to share more design finds like these in the future.
